It’s no secret that we had quite the year. 2020 was one for the books but it won’t necessarily be there for good reasons. However, didn’t you learn a lot from this past year? Some may call it a breakthrough on the personal and professional side of things.
This pandemic changed how we did business and we’ll see how much of that change stays but we at least know now that for a business to thrive, a digital presence is 100% necessary. Life through us a curveball and all of those who took the time and took initiative in making sure they were visible were the real pioneers.
When life isn’t the most kind yet you push forward, that’s a breakthrough within itself. Kudos to all of you out there who decided it was time to get yourself moving forward into the digital space. You earned it.
Now, you’ve gotten yourself on social media, where do you go now?
Consistent posting
Although this may sound like a daunting task, posting consistently helps develop your audience and your voice. This is the perfect time to try different things. Remember that not everything has to be perfect, it just has to get done.
Engage with your audience
For 15 minutes each day, I challenge you to go on your socials and engage with your audience. It’s not enough to just post to your page. You have to be part of the process as well.
Start collecting emails
Through a email marketing platform, you can create a landing page to then post to your social media. Your audience can click through on this and subscribe to your email list.
Be open to change
Social Media is always changing. Do not fret, there are plenty of resources that you can find out the latest changes like through YouTube, Hootsuite, and more. Run with the flow & have fun with it.
Don’t stress
Social media is supposed to be playful, fun, and relatable. Find your balance but don’t stress too much about if it’s perfect or not. It becomes less exciting in that way.
