When there is so much going on in our world and society, it’s hard to sift through it all. A question I got a lot over the last few weeks is “how do I address the current events?” and that’s exactly what I’m going to do today.
First off, as a disclaimer, this is NOT me voicing my political or personal stances on any issue happening right now. This is, simply, a guide of how you can better approach the current events and how they relate to your small business.
With any current event, it’s, first, important to have your facts straight. If you do choose to approach and address what is happening around the community where your small business is, it is IMPERATIVE that the way you’re addressing it is backed up with factual information from current events. Make sure your sources are - hopefully - unbiased. Make sure your social media posts are what you want to show the world.
Secondly, be aware that you addressing the public with your personal opinion through your business. No matter your opinion, you may not have everyone agreeing with you.
Lastly, your business can always be there to help in times of need and times of societal stress. See how you can help with current events. You are part of the community, too.
