We’re approaching the fourth quarter. Of course, as we all know, this year will be a little bit different.
One trend that I’ve noticed over the last month or so is that we are heading into much more uncertain territory than we are comfortable with. Luckily for us as business owners, this doesn’t have to be detrimental. Rather, it is an opportunity to adapt to our surroundings.
We have been pivoting over the last six months, trying to find our footing with everything going on between the pandemic and politics. There are several things that, fingers crossed, will change over time, but, in the meantime, we must, also, rise to the occasion and change our perspective.
So, what can you do to adapt on social media this upcoming quarter?
Find out what you like doing and what you hate doing
When it comes to marketing, it may not be your strong suit. However, as a business owner you may have everything else down to a science. That’s the benefit of knowing what you’re good at and what you hate doing because then you can delegate what you don’t like doing to someone who is either really good at it and/or loves doing it.
Revamp your brand
This is the perfect time to revamp your brand. Brands are more susceptible to recognition when there are changes that may go against the grain of what you’ve been doing. Give your brand a fresh look or better graphics. You can do so much with a little brainstorming and a handful of creativity.
Engage more and OFTEN
Be interactive with your audience. How are they supposed to find you if you’re not engaging with them? Be consistent, be engaging, and, above all, be sincere about your comments that you’re making and the relationships you’re building.
Get involved in your community.
Do you have a favorite non-profit in your community? Team up with them to help a cause that you believe in. This is a great time to help others. We could use a little community building during these difficult times.
Weed out what works and what doesn’t
The definition of insanity is doing something the same way over and over again and expecting a different result. Change up your strategy. If it’s not working for your brand, do something different. Brainstorm and get creative. Your brand needs you right now.
